 Distance learning Courses Criteria:
Theory Sessions:
This course consists of 6 theory modules, sent via email sequentially.
Module Delivery: Receive the first module and study independently.
Questionnaire: Each module ends with a questionnaire.
Submission: Send your answers via email.
Evaluation: Ayurveda doctors will correct your answers and provide feedback.
Progression: Upon completing and submitting answers for each module, receive the next module.
Practical Sessions:
Offline: Attend a 10-day practical session at our center (additional payment required).
Online: Attend live, one-on-one practical video classes for 10 days (additional payment required).

Distance Larning Courses in Ayurvedic Massage and Panchakarma Therapy

Theory for Six Months:
The course covers a comprehensive range of topics including the study of Indian philosophy and the aim of Ayurveda, the theory of creation, the five elements of creation theory, the three fundamental elements-bio energies (Tridosha theory), structural and fundamental elements, digestive fire, body waste, digestive fire and digestive tract, body channels, body constitution, daily routine, and seasonal routine. It also includes an introduction to Panchakarma, oleation, sudation, emesis and enema, administration of medicine through the nasal route, blood letting, oil massage, and powder massage.
Practical Sessions:
The practical sessions include Nasyam (Oil Instillation), Head Massage (Shiro Abhyanka), Abhyangam (Traditional Oil Massage), Tharpanam (Nethra Vasti), Foot Massage, Face Massage, Shiro Dhara, Udwarthananam (Powder Massage), Facial, Hair Oil, Njavara Kizhi, Pizhichal, Podikizhi, Greeva Vasti, Kadi Vasti, Leaf Pack Massage (Elakizhi), Lemon Pack Massage (Naranga Kizhi), Rice Bolous Massage Therapy (Njavara Kizhi), Body Massage and Steam Bath, and Anjanam. There will also be a discussion session.

Theory for Six Months:
The course covers various fundamental concepts in Ayurvedic herbology and pharmacology. You will learn about the concept of dravya (matter), the concept of aushadam (medicine) and rasa (taste), and the concept of guna (qualities). The curriculum also includes the concept of veerya (potency) and vipaka (post-digestive active product), the concept of karma (action), and the concept of prabhava (unpredictable action). You will study bhashajyamarga and matra (route of administration and dose), anupana (adjoints), and aushadhasevana kala (time of administration of medicine). Additional topics include saviryathaavadhi (expiry of medicine), aushadhanamakarana (naming of medicine), and aushadhasamrakshana vidhi (methods of preserving medicines). The course also delves into the morphology of plants, detailed discussions on five different herbs, and discussions on various non-detail herbs and Ayurvedic formulations.
Practical Sessions:
The practical sessions include a variety of hands-on experiences. You will start with five basic methods of preparation of medicine and fresh juice extraction, followed by preparation of decoctions with therapeutic effects, and making medicinal pastes and powders. You’ll then learn about medicated oil preparation, identifying plant morphology in the garden, purification of herbs, pill preparation, and making sugar syrup. Other sessions cover formulation of lickable medicines, preparation of curd, buttermilk, and ghee, as well as demonstrations of collyrium, smoke tube, and hair oil preparation. Further practicals include preparation of medicated milk, interactive sessions, making medicated ghee, and preparation of cold and hot infusions in Ayurveda.

Theory for Six Months:
The course begins with the definition of health and an exploration of the Ayurvedic diet. You will study musculoskeletal examination, the concept of digestive fire, the digestive tract, and the nervous system. The curriculum covers the definition of diseases, causes of disease, and the concept of ama (bio-toxins inside the body). You will learn about body urges, preventive health care, and the concept of body channels. Bloodletting therapies in Ayurveda, including cupping and wet cupping, will be discussed, as well as leech therapy (Jalaukavacharanam). The basic concepts of treating vata, pitta, and kapha imbalances will be covered. The course also includes pathology and treatment of various conditions such as abdominal bloating, constipation, piles, thyroid disorders, anemia, mouth ulcers, jaundice, migraine, epilepsy, vertigo, amavata, nasal bleeding, common cold, cervical spondylitis, , obesity, weight loss, insomnia, blood pressure issues, PCOD, acne, age spots, and various skin diseases including eczema, scabies, psoriasis, and urticaria.
Practical Sessions:
The practical sessions include demonstrations and hands-on practice for various Ayurvedic treatments and diagnostic methods. You will learn to prepare Taila’s and and practice skin care, hair care, and eye care techniques. There will be a demo of eight fundamental examinations of disease and patient, and practice sessions for blood pressure examination. You will also participate in patient interaction and case taking, case development, and case presentation seminars.
